The "Pick and Place Machine" is a piece of equipment that picks and places Intralox's parts. It is proprietary, and minimal details will be shared.
CONTEX: Intralox has an enormous amount of SKUs (well into the four digits), and it is incredibly valuable to have a machine that can be configured to rapidly pick and place these parts for a variety of secondary operations.
FUNCTION: The machine singulates, identifies, picks, and places the parts in a known orientation at an incredibly fast rate. I am responsible for the design and development of a high-speed, passive escapement enables this performance.
REFLECTION: This project has given me the opportunity to develop solutions from the ground up by applying first physics principles, the iterative design process, and my troubleshooting skillset.
